In just a few simple steps, you can record and send a video straight from our mobile app through email, text, or social media sites like LinkedIn or Facebook. Taking the time to send a personal video — from wherever you’re working — will humanize your communication and help you build a deeper connection.

Here are some step-by-step instructions:
Step 1: Open the BombBomb Mobile App
- Launch the BombBomb app on your mobile device.
- Switch to Front-Facing Camera: Tap the camera icon at the bottom right.
- Start Recording: Press the “Record” button located at the bottom center of your screen.
Quick Tip: Videos look best in landscape orientation, so rotate your camera before you hit that record button!
Step 2: Record Your Video
- Monitor Recording: A timer will appear in the upper right corner while you record.
- Pause Your Video: Tap the pause icon located at the bottom left.
- Switch Camera View: If recording in landscape, use the camera flip icon at the bottom right.
- Stop Recording: Hit the big red stop button in the center of your screen when finished.
Step 3: Review and Upload Your Video
Congratulations! You’ve successfully recorded a video.
While your video uploads, you can take the following actions:
- Re-record: Tap the option in the upper left to start over.
- Playback: Click the video thumbnail in the middle to review your recording.
- Pause or Cancel Upload: Use the controls at the bottom of your screen.
Once your video is uploaded, you can edit your video or share your video with your recipients.
Editing Your Video
- Access Editing Tools: Tap “Edit” in the upper right corner.
- Retitle Your Video: Change the title as needed.

Edit Thumbnail: Choose a new thumbnail for your video.
- Quick Tip: Selecting a thumbnail replaces the animated 3-second GIF, which is useful for apps that only support links. For general sharing, the animated GIF is recommended.
4. Organize Your Video: Click “Add/Edit Folders” to create a new folder or save your video to an existing one.
5. Add a Call-to-Action Banner:
- Toggle on “Add a Call-to-Action Banner.”
- Input the text you want to display and paste the desired link.
- Click “Save Edits” to finalize; your call to action will appear in a blue banner at the top right.
Sharing Your Video
You can share your video using various methods in the BombBomb app:
Simple Sharing Options:
- Text: Share your video via your phone’s messaging app. Consider adding a personal note to encourage viewing.
- Email: Use your email app to send the video. After selecting your email provider, click “Next” to copy the video link. Long-press in the email body and tap to paste the link.
- Share: Utilize your phone’s native sharing options to post on social media platforms like LinkedIn or Facebook.
- Email with BombBomb Template: Send an email using a BombBomb template of your choice. (Note: This feature is unavailable for basic subscriptions like BombBomb Video/BombBomb Essentials.)
