What does this integration allow you to do?
BombBomb's Salesforce integration lets you import contacts and leads from Salesforce and keeps Salesforce in the loop with all the activity in your BombBomb account.
Getting Started: Setup Instructions

Connect your Integration
Step 1: Hover over your name in the upper right corner of your BombBomb account and click "Integrations."
Step 2: Search for the Salesforce integration and click on it. On the next page, click "Connect" When the pop-up box appears asking for permission, click "Allow."
Configure Settings After Configuration
What are the settings I can adjust after I have connected the integration?
- API Calls: You'll see the total number of API calls for everyone in your Salesforce organization using the BombBomb integration and the number that Salesforce allows BombBomb to access. The "organization limit" is set in your Salesforce account.
- Events to Send to Salesforce: Select which events to send. Consider not sending EmailSent events; instead, focus on tracking Opens, Clicks, and Plays. Click the checkboxes for the events you'd like to send and click "Save My Selections."
- Overall Integration Limiter: Salesforce limits the number of API calls to about 1,000 calls per member account daily. If you exceed this limit, subsequent events won't be sent until the next rolling 24-hour period. Adjust the limit as needed and click "Set a Limiter."
- Only Sync Owned Entities:This option prevents pulling in content that doesn't belong to you when checked.
Syncing Your Lists From Salesforce
Step 1: Access the Contacts Tab: Click the "Sync from Salesforce" button.
Step 2: Select Lists: Choose the Contacts and Lead List View you want to sync to and click "Save My Selections".
Step 3: Sync Contacts: Click on the selected Salesforce contact list and press "Sync from Salesforce". BombBomb automatically updates these lists during send attempts.
How will this look in Salesforce?
BombBomb forwards events from your BombBomb account to leads or contacts in Salesforce, appearing in the Activity History as Completed Tasks. Note: If no contact or lead in Salesforce matches the email address, the integration cannot track those activities.
Compatibility with Salesforce Editions:
To use the API, your organization must be on one of the following editions:
1. Enterprise Edition
2. Unlimited Edition
3. Developer Edition
4. Performance Edition
Non-Compatible Editions:
1. Contact Edition
2. Group Edition
3. Professional Edition*
If you are an existing Salesforce customer and want to upgrade to Enterprise or Unlimited Edition, contact your Account Executive.
*Professional Edition may temporarily enable the API by contacting the Account Executive or may purchase API access.
